I rarely picture the character while I read, or if I do, it's so vague and dreamy that I couldn't match a real-life person to it. But my ten-second quiz revealed that I should re-visit The Moving Finger. I can't even remember what the book is about, much less whodunnit, so it might be like a first time reading experience.
Of all the Miss Marple novels, though, Nemesis haunted me the most.
A charming and well-researched tribute! I loved the balance of literary insight and viewing suggestions, it made me want to revisit St. Mary Mead . Joan Hickson forever!
Angela Lansbury always looked the most like Miss Marple to me.

I’m currently reading all of Christie’s novels in chronological order and I can’t wait to get to the Miss Marples. She’s my favourite.
That’s a great idea! I’m planning on revisiting them using audiobooks!
Ever see Geraldine McEwan with Prunella Scales in Mapp & Lucia? Show and books are wonderful!
The Mirror Cracked was always a Christie favorite, and I loved the movie adaptation with Lansbury!

I thought Joan Dickson was the best Miss Marple. Her Miss Marple TV series was magnificent in every way.
