It relaxes me, too! It’s definitely a comfort watch for me, since I’ve seen them all so many times. I loved watching them again with my family.

He was the guest of honor at Malice Domestic (I think the year before Covid hit?) but couldn’t be there in person. We were so sad to miss a chance to meet him.

I need to watch these; I knew David Suchet as the voice of Aslan in a radio dramatization of the Narnia books, but I've never seen Poirot!

Hi Reda: There are two related shows I wanted to mention to you. The first one is David Suchet On The Orient Express (2010), which I just rewatched recently. Suchet takes a trip on that train.

The other show is new, and is Travels With Agatha Christie & Sir David Suchet (2025). Sir David travels to locations Christie visited. There are five episodes. The cinematography is gorgeous and he is a charming narrator and is clearly enjoying himself.

I have watched all of the episodes of Poirot, and also like to fall asleep to it. The documentaries above are both on Britbox.

I’m a huge fan of Agatha Christie and for me, David Suchet is the only Poirot. I love all of the adaptations - they’re a proper comfort watch.

My Poirot was Peter Ustinov for the longest time (childhood memories!) but David Suchet won me over quickly. I miss his Poirots!
